Three healthy things

Adventure Question: What three things would describe vibrant health for you? Think about it for awhile, then try to have a mini-adventure doing some of that and come back to tell the tale.

My nutrition class guru and friend, Stephanie, asked us for 3 things that describe health to us.

Here are mine:

1. Freedom and Fearlessness

Lack of health places limits on movements and wears on the mind. I want to fearlessly sit  in any chair, fly coach without worry and walk around like I have every right to be in the skin I’m in and to take up the space I need.

2. Energy

I want the energy to take care of daily chores as well as delights. More doing, less resting.

3. Choice

I want to choose to spend time with myself or with others. To forgo limits imposed, real or imagined. To go to the party, to go hiking with the group or to spend time alone just thinking without fearing what I think of myself.

I really loved the nutrition support group where we got to wrestle with these kind of questions. It helped me so much to be and share with others. I can’t wait to see what you come up with and I hope you’ll come back and post your thoughts here too… A virtual class:: hugs:::

This is a tough one. I’m doing Weight Watchers right now and I have found that the change in how and what I eat has been the real lesson. I don’t have to track points, I have to be aware of what is going in the machine.

I will ponder this. I’m so glad you found my blog!
